Additionally, we are happy to support flexible working for volunteers with additional commitments that fall outside of the allocated shift patterns.
What will I get out of volunteering?
Volunteering is a great way to use your existing skills or further your knowledge working within a healthcare environment, as well as meeting new people and gaining confidence.
Will I get expenses reimbursed?
We will reimburse volunteers for out-of-pocket expenses incurred while volunteering. For example, for travelling as part of their volunteer role, or for bus fares to and from their place of volunteering. These must be agreed in advance with the Service lead. Nimbuscare will pay 0.40p per mile under 20 miles, payment will not be made for miles over this.
